It’s back on at the river! Fridays on the Flint kicked off this month and will continue the first Friday of the month through October!
Fridays on the Flint
Established in 2019, this is technically the second year this free outdoor community event that promises to liven up spring and summer Friday nights. For a rocking good time once a month, mark your calendars and plan to bring the whole family to the Flint River Entertainment Complex (FREC). More specifically, head to the Veterans Park Amphitheater within the complex grounds.
Visitors can expect each Friday to be a little different than the last. There will be varying themes and new bands featured each time. Fridays on the Flint was in full swing with the first outdoor concert starring Stephen Harrell and the Dusty Boots Band on April 2nd.
The fun twist was a beer garden and wine bar sampling available for $15. Some guests opted to view and brew and dance. Others took the younger ones to kid zone!
What else is new?
Mixing up themes and bands aren’t the only changes. In accordance with CDC recommendations, masks are required. They may be removed to eat and drink but should be worn as you move about the venue.
Sanitizing stations will be set-up throughout the general areas, and frequent use is encouraged as is natural social distancing.
Next Up

The June event will be held June 4th. July’s event coincides with the 4th of July weekend. Therefore, it is an off month. Fans of Fridays on the Flint can expect it to return after the holiday on August 6th.
