Hip-hip hooray! It’s finally fall, which means fall activities at Mark’s Melon Patch are about ready for harvest. Family fun on the farm will take on that fall flair the first weekend in October!

What to Know

Besides the usual fun like picking your own pumpkin and hayrides, there a few new fall activities at Mark’s Melon Patch this year! For example, learn something new at the Barn of Knowledge. Then, slide into excitement on the original “beast”—Mark’s Monster Slide!

To clarify, it’s comprised of tube slides in varying lengths that will be frighteningly fun for littles and bigs alike. In addition, fall activities at Mark’s Melon Patch include the animal exhibit, inflatables, Billy Joe the Talking Scarecrow and the pumpkin playground.

On the weekends, add in the dunking booth, the Spooky Barn, duck races and the corn cannon! Not to mention, the fresh design for the yearly corn maze. It’s always about five acres, and the maze is about two miles long.

To see the big reveal for this year’s design, go like their Facebook page now! Remember to bring your cameras for all the farm photos. From sunflowers to corn stalks, and pumpkins to scarecrows, there will be plenty of photo-worthy moments.

Stop by the Shop

While you are at Mark’s Melon Patch, stop by the farm’s shop. Stock up on fresh, local produce as well as jams, jellies, sauces, rubs, fried peanuts, pecans and much more. But don’t worry if you are too busy with all the fall activities at your upcoming visit. Now, you can order their market products when you  shop online too.

Location and Hours

Mark’s Melon Patch is located at 8580 Albany Highway in Dawson. They are open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. for spring, summer and fall!

There are also extended weekend hours in October for Flashlight Corn Maze nights. Typically, the patch is open until 9:30 p.m. then.
