There’s a new way to gift—and shop—in town that helps keep those dollars local. Albany’s Downtown Dollars digital gift card program is one fun way to surprise loved ones and support local businesses!

Launched last month, Albany’s Downtown Dollars digital gift card program is now available for purchase online.

Downtown Dollars can then be used at any participating merchants in downtown Albany. Yes, you can use the same gift card at multiple shops.

In fact, you can use the card again and again at various locations as long as there is remaining balance.

How it works

It’s simple. First, you decide how much you want to add to the digital gift card. You can start with $5 and go from there. The amount can be customized to fit your gift budget.

Secondly, name the recipient. Treat your family, friends or even your employees with a sweet surprise. You can also send a personalized message with the digital gift card via text or email.

Last but not least, it’s time to go shopping in downtown Albany!

Where to shop

As of now, there are 19 locations participating in Albany’s Downtown Dollars digital gift card program. Participating locations include retail, restaurants, entertainment venues and other services.

Participants include places like Avoir Salon & Color Bar on North Washington Street, The Grille House on West Broad Avenue, Flint River Entertainment Complex on West Oglethorpe Boulevard—and many more.
